They are less energy efficient than our regular Double Cell Shades. The R-value is 3.6 for single cell shades rather than 4.6 for double cell shades on a double-pane window. BlackOut single cells have a 4.3 R-value

Constructed with a 1/2" single cell, foil-lined blackout material, Virtuoso Blackout provides an excellent blackout effect that is nearly 100% opaque. Its cellular fabric provides an insulating layer that keeps rooms comfortable year-round, while reducing energy costs.
The larger cell makes this ideal for larger windows.

The cord lock eliminates cord wear and provides effortless operation, even for larger shades. An inward or outward motion locks the shade. The cord lock may be placed on the right or the left of the head rail. Cords are perfectly aligned for simple shade
